• Supervising assurance team and client engagements.
• Reviewing budgets to gain engagement efficiencies.
• Ensuring solid client communications with firm leadership team and clients to streamline
engagement performance and strengthen relationships.
• Training and development of team, ranging from engagement performance to new
standards and pronouncements.
• Reviewing engagement workpapers and financial statements based upon firm objectives.
• Coordinating firm resources to meet client deliverables based upon established timelines.
• Recognizing potential problem areas in specific engagements
Desired Skills and Experience
• 4 to 7 years of progressive experience in public accounting
• CPA designation preferred
• Experience leading audit and assurance engagements and the development of team
• Corporate and individual tax preparation, preferred
• Knowledge of Broker Dealer/Hedge Funds/Financial services industries a plus
• Self-starter and team player

Job description
• Preparation and review of federal and state income taxes primarily for entities and individuals
• Builds new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.
• Prepares internal memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, private letter rulings and other documents for submission to the IRS or state taxing authorities
• Manages multiple clients, budgets and production goals.
• Interpret the U.S. tax code.
• Research the implications of tax laws and advise clients on tax related issues.
• Manage, develop, and mentor staff/managers on projects and assess performance through formal periodic reviews and informal feedback.
Desired Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA Certification.
• 6+ years prior tax experience in public accounting.
• Significant supervisory experience (2 years plus).
• Experience preparing entities and individual tax returns.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• Self-starter and team player with ability to recognize when additional hour commitments are needed and willingness to take on extra work to meet firm wide deadlines.

• Performs detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances, prepares and adjusts workpapers from clients’ trial balance
• Performs other accounting, auditing, tax and consulting duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel
• Identifies potential management letter comments
• Participates in the engagement planning process
• Assists with more complicated segments of audit and accounting engagements
Desired Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA Certification preferred
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• 3+ years prior audit/tax experience in public accounting.
• Experience preparing financial statements/workpapers
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
