Job Summary

DSWD is currently seeking a full-time Tax Associate/Professional for its boutique CPA firm located in Tinley Park, IL. The Tax Professional will demonstrate an ability to prepare and prioritize multiple tax engagements to ensure the execution and delivery of excellent quality tax services to our clients. This individual will be a part of a team responsible for managing tax reporting and compliance to ensure tax returns are completed accurately as well as timely, to minimize tax obligations.  The Tax Professional will also be required to do tax planning for future tax filings. The ideal candidate chosen for this chair will maintain both the integrity of our firm and our clients by upholding our company core values.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of federal and state income taxes for individuals, businesses, benefit plans and exempt organizations
  • Prepare internal communication and written correspondences for submission to the IRS and other tax authorities
  • Perform research to assist with the identification and implementation of strategic tax initiatives
  • Perform technical analysis of tax issues impacting clients and draft supporting memoranda
  • Analyze tax data to determine tax projections and recommendations based on the projections
  • Continuously maintain current knowledge of tax laws, research and implement impact to clients
  • Conducts numerous IRS and or state income tax examinations
  • Prepare and review year-end accounting entries and assist clients with accounting issues
  • Driven and hardworking, willing to help whenever necessary
  • Maintains current and up to date knowledge of acceptable tax accounting practices, laws, regulations and procedures
  • Performs other related accounting duties as assigned

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proven ability to work well with others and find solutions to serious tax related matters

The Audit Associate will demonstrate a strong ability to conduct engagements in accounting audit and assurance.  This person will also have some experience working in tax preparation. Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances, prepares and adjusts workpapers from clients’ trial balance
  • Performs other accounting, auditing, tax and consulting duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel
  • Self-starter and team player with ability to recognize when additional hour commitments are needed and willingness to take on extra work to meet firm wide deadlines
  • Recognizes potential problem areas in specific engagements and discusses them with engagement supervisor
  • Participates in the engagement planning process
  • Assists with more complicated segments of audit and accounting engagements
  • Becomes proficient at preparing financial statements/tax returns using the firm’s software programs

Client Communications Coordinator

Job Summary

DSWD is currently seeking to fill the position of Client Communications Coordinator (CCC). The purpose of the CCC will be to ensure that our client(s) needs are addressed and met in a timely and orderly manner. Additionally, the CCC will work with the proper DSWD communication channels to receive/deliver accurate information and content to the client while providing exceptional service to both management and our client base. Your responsibilities will include providing high quality service by assisting the tax, auditing and accounting partners and managers with organizing client information and responding to (and anticipating) client service. CCC’s will be given the responsibility to learn the rhythm and expectations of the service level we need to provide. The ability to think independently, take initiative and perform the duties with a high degree of accuracy is essential to succeeding in this role.
