Bringing Hope Beyond the Holidays

Over the years, DSWD has donated funds, items, and volunteer hours to a myriad of local organizations during the annual CPA Day of Service and during the holidays.

This year we decided that we wanted to focus our philanthropic initiatives to go beyond these set campaigns and offer help throughout the year. Additionally, we wanted to be able to center these events on meeting the needs of those in our community. DSWD Fosters Hope was born.

Through partnerships with local foster care agencies, DSWD Fosters Hope provides basic needs and comfort items to children in foster care. With events held 6 times a year, our team works to provide everything from school supplies and hygiene items to birthday boxes and goodie bags to these children. Our first 2 events held in September and November, provided gifts and essential items to over 125 children in local foster care programs.
