About Us
Walking Beside You. Looking Ahead.
Founded in 2009 by Joseph DeMarco, John Sciaccotta, and Rick Wilkens, DSWD was built on a simple vision: create a firm where people and clients always come first. What began as three leaders with a shared purpose has grown into a thriving practice defined by genuine care, trusted relationships, and a culture that feels more like family than firm.
At DSWD, our philosophy is rooted in people. From celebrating personal milestones to supporting professional goals, we value relationships above all else. That same care extends to our clients, who count on us to guide them with integrity, foresight, and a commitment to their success – today and for the long term.
In 2025, DSWD partnered with 119th Street Capital, a Family Office that invests exclusively in financial services firms. This partnership reflects a shared belief that culture drives success. Together, we’ve created a roadmap for purposeful growth: investing in our people, enhancing client service, and expanding opportunities through strategic partnerships.

DSWD Fosters Hope

Going beyond the holiday toy drives…
Over the years, DSWD has generously donated service hours and monetary and in-kind donations to local non-profit agencies during the annual CPA Day of Service as well as Back to School and the Holidays.
From delivering meals to the elderly with Meals On Wheels, walking dogs at Cache Creek Animal Shelter, packing donated food items at the Operation Blessing Food Panty or sorting donated clothing items for the Bridge Teen Center Thrift Store, our team is dedicated to making a positive impact on our community. Our Christmas drives have provided families from Crisis Center for South Suburbia, Operation Christmas, MyJoyfulHeart and Together We Cope with gifts and other essential items such as coats and other cold weather items. Through generous community donation drives we collected over 1000 books to provide to children in underserved areas as well as in domestic violence and homeless shelters.
With the formation of our focused initiative, DSWD Fosters Hope, we are partnering with local foster agencies to provide basic needs and comfort items to children and teens in foster care. Providing Birthday Boxes and Backpacks for children at the SOS Children’s Village as well as offering assistance with basic essentials such as hygiene items and clothing. Our goal is to let these children know that giving goes beyond the holiday season, that everyone deserves the basic necessities of daily life, and that Hope comes in many forms.
